    Assessments

Assessments can help build a clearer picture of your child’s strengths, challenges and everyday support needs.

Depending on your child’s goals, this may include looking at sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, attention, planning and daily routines.

I’ll talk you through the results in clear, practical language and explain what they may mean for your child. A short written summary or more detailed report can also be provided, depending on what you need.

    Therapy Sessions

Therapy sessions are individualised, play-based and built around your child’s interests and goals.

Sessions may focus on areas such as emotional regulation, attention, handwriting, fine motor skills, independence with everyday tasks or social participation.

I currently provide Saturday sessions in the child’s home or community across Melbourne’s north-east. Activities and strategies are chosen to be practical and easy to continue outside of therapy.

    Capacity Building & Parent Support

Parents and carers play a big role in helping children use their skills outside of therapy.

I provide practical support to help families better understand their child’s needs and feel more confident using strategies at home.

    This may include:

    • Parent coaching and practical home strategies
    • Support with routines, regulation and behaviour
    • Liaising with teachers or other professionals when needed
    • Taking part in care-team meetings or professional discussions by arrangement

The aim is to make therapy strategies realistic, manageable and suited to your family’s everyday life.

    Reports & Documentation

Written reports can be provided for NDIS plan reviews, school support applications or communication with other professionals involved in your child’s care.

Reports may include your child’s current strengths and support needs, progress towards their goals and recommendations for ongoing therapy or other supports.

The expected time and cost of any report will always be discussed with you before work begins.
